This list is for information only, and inclusion within does not represent endorsement by any individual connected to this Club.

All of the breeders on the list breed only from stock that has been tested using the following schemes/tests, before any mating takes place:

• BVA/KC Hip Dysplasia Scheme or equivalent overseas scheme
• DNA Tested for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (prcd-PRA)
• DNA Tested for Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG)
• DNA Tested for Chondrodysplasia (CDSL)
• BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Screening Scheme

These breeders are members of either the Norwegian Elkhound Club of Great Britain (NECGB) or the Norwegian Elkhound Association of Scotland (NEAS).

Please contact the breeders directly to make enquiries about a puppy. Any arrangement between a breeder and a prospective buyer is a private matter and the NECGB cannot be held liable for any subsequent issues that may arise.

Criteria for joining the list

Breeders of KC registered, purebred Norwegian elkhounds resident within the UK can apply to join the list, providing that they can prove that their stock meets the criteria given above.

Copies of health test results should be sent to the Breed Health Coordinator and Kennel Club. The welfare of bitches and puppies is of paramount importance and breeders must agree to follow the NECGB/Kennel Club Code of Ethics.
